MOB dress too much like the bridesmaids' dresses

I'm the Mother of the Bride. My oldest daughter will be getting married in Oct. My middle daughter is the Maid of Honor, the youngest daughter will be a bridesmaid and my son will be a groomsman. I wanted a dress that would work well with the bridal party colors especially for family photos.

I'm one of these people that knows what she likes so I wasn't worried about finding a dress. The MOG is more indecisive and has been so anxious that my daughter told her to just go ahead and get a dress. Well she chose champagne. Now I don't know what to do - is my dress too similar? Should I also go with a lighter color? The MOG is Italian, with olive skin - I'm a blonde, very fair skin. Usually light colors wash me out.

The bridesmaids will be wearing the dress on the right in the first uploaded picture

The dress I selected is the second uploaded picture.

So what do you think? Too close???

You want to choose a color that complements the bridal party but not too much like the bridal party color.

Here is a beautiful color that would compliment the party and your skin tone: Platinum, Charcoal Grey, and Chocolate Brown or if you want to stay in the purple family try a darker plum, or Pink.

Good Luck,
