MOB dress when bridesmaids are all different colors

My daughter will be getting married in January, in a Friday evening 6pm church ceremony. She will be in all white. The four bridesmaids will wear the same style floor-length gown, but each will be in a different jewel-tone - Emerald Green, Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue, and Amethyst Purple. What color would be appropriate for the mother of the bride in this situation?

Thank You!

Congratulations on your daughter's wedding! You can wear a color that would set you apart from the bridesmaids. It could be silverish, or Navy blue, or eggplant. This way, you will stay in the "cool" color family, so the photos would look nice and color-consistent, while being a bit "apart" from the bridesmaids' colors. Enjoy the wedding!

I completely agree, but have to chime in to remind you to dress conservatively. Wink
