     MOB outfit

My daughter's July wedding is at 5pm. She's wearing a formal white dress and the groom a tux. Two bridesmaids are wearing just-below-the-knee sage/cream sleeveless brocade dresses. The outfit i've picked out has white palazzo pants with flowing panals and a two-piece grayish/blue beaded top (tank/jacket). I'm not a traditional-kind-kind-of gal but don't want to be inappropriate with the white palazzos. What do you think?

Dear MOB,

It is a bit confusing with the bride and groom so formal and the bridesmaid less so. But, it seems to me that your outfit is a bit too informal. It is difficult to say without actually seeing it, but your outfit should be the same formality as the bridesmaids. So... very difficult without seeing it. The beading could be the deciding factor here.

As for the color though, your color should compliment and blend with the bridesmaid's dresses. Does your grayish blue blend with sage/cream? It doesn't seem so to me. Please scrutinize this carefully.

Best wishes,
