     MOG Here we go again

Well, after middle son getting married last summer I'm in for the wedding of my youngest son this summer. (Three sons married in four years.) This is the last one!

This will be formal 5:00 pm wedding in early Aug. The bridesmaids are wearing tea length chocolate brown dresses trimmed in soft pink. MOB is wearing full length champagne colored dress.

I have found a dark brown (darker than the bridesmaids) full length dress with accents of champagne and ivory. Both the bride and MOB saw the dress and think it beautiful. I love the dress but is the brown color to close to the bridesmaid dresses? Should I be in shorter dress, more in line with the bridesmaids?

Dear Dlduncan,

Normally, I would suggest a different color because you might be confused with the bridesmaids--some will want their MOH in a slightly different shade. But, if the bride likes it and the dress couldn't be confused with a bridesmaids' dress, then it should be fine.

If the MOB is wearing a long dress, you should be fine in yours as well.

Best wishes,

Rebecca,

Thank you for your answer, I knew I could count on the experts here.

The bride thinks the dress will look great in the pictures and, no, it can't be confused with a bridesmaid's dress.

I'm off to buy the dressSmile!
