     MOG chose her dress first

MOG and I (MOB) had discussed and agreed on knee or tea length dresses- neither of us wanted to wear floor length. Due to work schedule and family obligations on my part, and eagerness and time to shop on hers, I asked my daughter to let her know it was ok if she picked her dress first. She chose a floor length gown! My daughter does not mind if we have different length dresses. Bridesmaids will wear long gowns. Is my only proper option a full length gown at this point?

Dear Dmarie,

Let's just hope she couldn't find anything else that suited her. Jeez. So, as long as your dress is not less formal than hers, a shorter gown could work. Length is just one element of formality. Be careful though. Length is important.

Best wishes,
