My fiance and I are both having our mothers stand up with us in our wedding. My fiance and her mother feel that my mom should wear the same dress as her mother and the brides maids. I feel that this will make my mother look like she is one of her brides maids.
Actually when a woman is standing on the groom's side, she wears the same dress as the women on the bride's side. She would wear the same corsage as the groomsmen.
