My son is getting married in October in a formal evening wedding. The MOB is wearing an extremely elaborate formal ball gown with lace, beading, poufy skirt etc. I am tall with an angular physique and would look ridiculous in a similar style. Will I be ok with a more conservative long straight line dress in silk or satin with a matching jacket with beaded trim? Color is not an issue as the style of dress I prefer is normally available in several colors.
