MOG is trying to match bridesmaids dress color

My fiance's mom has been hounding us about her dress for the wedding! She's been trying to match the dress colors of both mine and the bridesmaids dresses. I dont want her to look like shes part of the wedding party though!

What would be a good color her her to wear so she would blend with us, but not match us? I have a champagne gown, and the girls are going to be in chocolate brown. its an outdoor october wedding.

thanks!Smile

The MOG should stand out and not "blend into" the bridal party, while being color-coordinated. Good color choices for her dress would be gold, deep bronze, taupe (which could be with beading in same color or in deeper tones). If she insists on "matching", her accessories - handbag and shoes- can match the chocolate brown of the bridal party. Enjoy the wedding!

Plus, please ask your fiance to speak to his mother about the fact that she is to coordinate with your mother. Your mother chooses first. And, both dresses are supposed to be conservative--no strapless dresses.
