MOG wants to wear her wedding dress except dyed a different color
MOG initially asked to wear an ivory dress, which I asked her not to wear a dress that could be worn as a wedding dress. Now she wants to dye HER wedding dress a different color and wear to the wedding. Her wedding dress is spaghetti strap long white with lots of beading and lace- 5 years old. I think this is rude and not appropriate- what is the etiquette? Thanks!

Dear Emgjagwedding,
Yikes!! This would not be the least bit appropriate. Brides can wear dresses in other colors besides shades of white these days, so this could appear to be a shared wedding. Plus, she is a mother. Mothers do not compete for attention.
It may be best to ask your fiance to speak to his mother. This would likely embarrass her and you two.
