     MOG wear stockings with sandals?

I will be wearing a long black formal dress with strappy sandals for my son's September wedding. I'm sure my feet will be showing as I move around. I've been told that it is now considered a fashion faux pas to wear stockings with open shoes. Since this is a formal event and I am at the age where I don't feel "finished" without stockings, please tell me what would be the proper thing to do.

Dear Maf,

It is a faux pas to wear nylons with open shoes. If they were just open in the toe area, there are stockings that are made with the toe open. They are difficult to find and strappy sandals are very open. So, this isn't an option in your case.

Another option would be to use a self-tanning lotion to darken your legs.

Best wishes,

Have you tried the new spray on stockings? Go to www.topweddingsites.com and look on the right of the page. There are box banners there and if you do not see the ad for the stocings refresh the page until you do.
