MOG wearing knee length dress while MOB wears long
My son is getting married in 1 week and I chose a short dress based on what the MOB had chosen. She had a dress made and didn't like it and now has chosen a long dress. Will I look out of place in a knee length dress if the MOB wears a long dress?

Yes, regretfully, the etiquette dictates that your dress should be the same formality as MOB, so you would have to "adjust" your wardrobe choice.
