     Mother of the Bride Dress

My daughter is getting married in May at a beautiful hotel circa early 1900's decor. Her colors are lilac and silver; the wedding is at 11:00 a.m., with reception following ceremony. Groom and his wedding party will be wearing gray tuxedos; bridesmaids in the lilac and silver formal dresses. Not sure what to wear - should it be floor length like the bridesmaids and what color? I am 48 - don't want to look like an old matron, but want to make my daughter's day special. Suggestions?

You should definitely wear a long dress. You can look for dresses that are in the mauve family. Ex. lilac, mauve, pale pink, or silver.
