     Mother of the bride gown

My daughter's wedding will be in July. The ceremony is in the afternoon around 2:30 p.m. The color scheme is light and dark pink. The bridesmaid dress will be in light pink or blush in tea length. I would like to chose a 2 piece long gown in fuschia due to my coloring. I have black hair. Would a bright pink gown do as well or should I choose silver instead? The mother of the groom chose lilac as her color. Thanks for your help.

Dear Mother of the bride,

Traditionally, the mother of the bride chooses her outfit first and the mother of the groom coordinates hers with the mothers of the bride's outfit. The point here is that all of the colors blend. They should be in the same family so you all look great in the pictures. So, if you want to wear fuschia, make sure it does not clash. You might want to take something the colors of the bridal party with you when you go shopping.

Best wishes,
