     Petite mob dress

July wedding! I am a petite mob and finding it difficult to wear a long dress. The bridesmaids are wearing cocktail length black strapless dresses. I have a black cocktail length dress v-neck 3/4 sleeve lace top flirty skirt. Is this formal enough or too close to bridesmaid style? Fits great!

Dear MOB Dress,

The length is fine because you would want to wear the same length of dress. However, it would be best not to wear the exact color as the bridesmaids or you will look as if you are one of them. Perhaps there is something you can do to this dress to distinguish it from the other dresses.

It is too bad that you didn't have a dress with black in it and not all black.

Best wishes,

If the dress fits you great, then wear it. It definitely sounds formal enough. The MOB dress always wants to compliment the bridesmaid dresses, without looking like one.

To make yourself look different you should accessorize with some of the colors that your daughter picked for her flowers and decor. You could wear a colorful shaw or bolero. Even by accessorizing with colorful jewelry, shoes, and a handbag will make you look different and elegant at the same time.

Good luck,
