Print Dress for Mother of the Bride

My daughter is getting married at the beach. The wedding is not formal. She is wearing a long strapless ivory dress that is very simple. The groomsmen and groom are wearing linen pants with a plain shirt. They are all going barefoot. The bridesmaids are wearing a short, strapless dress.

Is it ok for the mother of the bride to wear a print dress? It is a printed sundress with a solid color jacket. My daughter likes the dress, but I'm not sure about the print. I'm having trouble finding a dress. I am a plus size and the wedding is in about 2 weeks.

Congratulations on your daughter's wedding! What you describe sounds like a beautiful informal and romantic beach wedding, with bridal party going barefoot. You absolutely CAN wear your print dress! You will feel comfortable and it will look entirely appropriate!

Agreed. Plus, please remember that your attire should be conservative. No excess cleavage.
