My stepdaughter is getting married in September and it will be at 4:30 p.m. Her colors are apple red & white. The MOB is wearing a navy blue dress and that is all I know. I will be seated with my husband in the wedding party but am perplexed with what to wear. I purchased a dress a while back and it is a turquoise and black (attached). Is it too flashy in your opinion and is the color ok? Would a simple black cocktail dress be more approrpiate? Thank you for your help. Gayle

Dear Gayle, the dress is totally appropriate and it looks nice. Wear it and do not think twice about the color: while black color is getting to be more and more acceptable at the weddings, still it could be mis-interpreted by some people. The dress you have selected is beautiful, elegant and you will look great in it! Enjoy the wedding! Hello, this is the worry wart talking here. The dress is just beautiful. But if you are well endowed, it could be a bit distracting--putting it as delicately as possible So, be careful.
Now if it were me, I'd have no problem! Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now

No that is not a problem for me ;) And i bought a long black scarf wear with it yesterday, which may be good at a baptist church anyway? Thank you so much for your help!
