I’m having some trouble finding the right type of clutch and color for my dress without spending a lot of money. My dress color is champagne. The skirt is chiffon and the top is a darker iridescent color in the same shade. My shoes are a light taupe luster pump.
I found a nice crocodile clutch with a gold chain handle. The color matches my top perfectly and coordinates with the color of the skirt. Will this type of clutch work with my outfit, or do I need to stick with a satin type clutch? I’m not planning on wearing the clutch during the ceremony, but want to have it on hand for the reception.
Thank you!

The crocodile clutch in a matching color with gold chain is perfectly fine: it is still an evening bag! It will look nice and elegant with your outfit; relax and enjoy the wedding! Thank you for your help! I think I am concerned if this style is really considered an evening bag. I thought the handle was entirely a gold chain, but it only has a partial gold chain with the rest in leather.
I've attached a picture of the purse, but the one I purchased is in bronze and has a gold chain on the strap. If you still feel this is fine with the dress I described, then I'll just go with it!

It's a beautiful bag, however it is more "theater/opera" type than the type that you would wear with a gown. I would keep the bag for special occasions and evenings out, but would still look for a more traditional "evening" style. Good luck!
