My son is getting married in August at 4:00 PM. The colors of the wedding are hot pink and black. The bridesmaids' dresses are black and they will be carrying hot pink colored roses. The groomsmen tuxedos are black with hot pink ties. The MOB dress is black. I have purchased a black dress with a mix of mauve and lavender jacket. However, I have recently seen a bright pink dress that I liked but thought it would be too much color for the MOG. What is your opinion?

Dear tcooper,
Typically mothers do not wear the same color as the bridesmaids with the exception of black. Many times the continuity of color is exactly what the bride wants. So, black would be the best choice. Bright pink would probably be a poor choice for a mother or a guest, as it is likely too colorful and distracting.
