My son is getting married in March. It will be an afternoon wedding at our state's capitol building.
The colors chosen are red and black. The MOB is wearing a black ankle length dress, the bridesmaids are wearing red.
What color can I wear to compliment the MOB without wearing all black too. I really prefer to wear some color.

I don't know your skin color, but, what about a silver gray dress? Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

And please remember that your dress shouldn't be more formal than the MOB and it should be conservative--not strapless. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now

I completely agree: Silvery Gray will not "disagree" with the other colors of the wedding, quite opposite, it will complement them. If your skin is pale, just use a little bit mor blush and a brighter lipstick, and you will look very elegant in this color. Enjoy the wedding! Irina Feygin, IMpeccable iMage, Inc.
