I'm getting married on June 11th. I have three girls standing with me, and they are each wearing a different color. All of the dresses are knee-length and A-line with different necklines. All are silk shantung and the colors are dark red, burnt orange, and "sunset gold". What colors are left for the mother of the bride/groom to wear? I would like to give them a little direction since when my fiance's older brother got married his mom wore a crazy flowery dress and my mom tends to show much cleavage!
What colors can they wear? Taupe and brown? Dress length? Can they have silk shantung or should they opt for a different fabric? P.S. We are all trying to order from the same web site company. HELP!

The mothers can indeed were taupe or brown, the length does not have to be the same as the bridesmaids. The colors of both dresses should be different but coordinate with each other and the bridesmaids color. Fabric is not an issue, just a matter of taste. I agree fabric doesn't have to be the same. The mothers should wear a long dress. Taupe or Brown would coordinate beautifully. Also keep in mind burgundy, gold, even a creamy yellow.
