What does a young MOB wear?

My daughter is having a noon wedding outdoors in August and her colors are purple & fuschia. I don't know what color I am supposed to wear, and I don't like how the traditional MOB dresses look. I'm not quite 40- I don't want to look like my grandma but I don't want to look like I am trying to be a young bridesmaid either. What is a proper length, style and color for me to wear?
