     What should MOB wear?

The bridesmaids are wearing lilac (haltertop) tea length dresses. What would be a good color for me to wear? The MOG wants to wear beige(champaign). Since I don't know what I am wearing yet. How about sage would that look ok? I don't even know how I would look in that color but I like it. I just don't have any idea what would be the "perfect color". Thanks in advance. The wedding is August 20 so time is getting close.

Dear MOB,

The wedding is getting close, so here we go. You always want your color to compliment the colors of the scheme and bridal party. Since they are wearing lilac and the wedding is during the summer, you can go with a neutral color or a soft color. I say soft, only because you don't want to stand out like a sore thumb, you want to look pretty and delicate like the bridesmaids. Colors that will compliment lilac are sage (which you already mentioned), pale blue, peach, or soft pink. You can even go for a different shade of purple (not too dark that it starts to look more like a Fall/Winter dress) that isn't the same as the bridesmaids. Purple is all over the place and all of the hot celebrities are wearing purple. Try all different colors on when shopping for your dress to see what looks best on you and compliments your skin tone and hair.

If you want to opt for a neutral color you can wear platinum, taupe, or gold. I am sure you have noticed flipping through magazines and watching award shows that gold is a very popular color this season.

Either way you decide to go make sure that you feel comfortable and beautiful in what you are wearing. Pick a color that makes you and your natural beauty glow.

Have fun,
