What should MOG wear when MOB is wearing an inappropriate dress?

I am the MOG and have no clue what to wear. The MOB is going to wear the same color as the bridesmaids! A very vivid blue, I think it is called horizon blue. The dress is knee length, backless and has rhinestones on it! How do I handle this?

Dear Smiles,

Yikes! Rhinestones and backless? Oh boy. If only you had the color to work around. Well, I'm not the fashion expert, but I can offer a bit of advice here.

Please don't try to match her formality unless the wedding is a very formal evening wedding. If that is the case, then rhinestones might work. But, please stay away from strapless or backless gowns. Moms should be dressed more conservatively.

Blue is one of those colors that blends with just about anything. So, blending with that blue shouldn't be too much of a challenge. Hopefully our amazing style expert can help you there.

Best wishes,
