I am the mother of the bride. She will wear an ivory gown and her choice of color is coral and is a spring wedding. I have questions about my dress.
1. Is it okay to wear silk? Would something like that shine too much to take attention away from the bride which is something I do not want to do.
2. What would a good color choice be?
I believe the hardest part of the wedding is choosing an outfit for myself. What should the mother of the bride wear?
Thanks for your help

Dear Confused,
I'm guessing that you mean that the bridesmaids are wearing coral. So, you would want to wear something that blends with this color. Because I have trouble blending at times, I take something of the color I'm trying to coordinate with to the store. This may be a good tactic for you.
Having said that, certain shades of blue, orange, and green blend well especially since this is a Spring wedding. Favorite mother of the bride colors are Champagne, silver, platinum and tones of gold too. So, just choose one that blends well with coral.
