I am getting married in April 2006 and it is an evening ceremony. My colors right now are black, ivory & wine (deep burgandy). I have changed my wedding colors 3 times already. My mother wanted to wear a champagne color dress. Is this ok? I am wearing an ivory colored wedding gown and my groom a black tux. My maid of honor and my bridesmaid are wearing wine color dresses but in 2 different styles. The best man & groomsmen will have on black tuxedos with wine colored vests and ties. I was thinking my mother would wear a mauve colored dress. She doesn't like the idea. She first wanted to wear ivory but I thought that would draw the attention away from me if she had on the same color, so she opted for champagne. I know my mother in law will wear black. That's all she ever wears. Are there too any variations of color going on here? I am so stressed out right now. I just want to enjoy the idea of marrying my sweetie, not what color dress my mother wears. Please help

I think that champagne will go very nicely with your wedding colors. In fact, champagne would be one of the colors I would suggest if you had asked for color suggestions. I agree that if your mother wears ivory, it will detract from your dress.

With the wedding party wearing a rich wine color, I would suggest your mother to wear the champagne color.
