shoes best for an early November wedding

What type of shoes would be best for an early November wedding? My dress is cream colored knee length. Would open toe shoes be appropriate or not? Thanks

Dear MOG,

Open toed shoes are worn nearly year round these days. It is a matter of choice, but these should match your dress. Also, it is a faux pas to wear nylons with open toed shoes. So, if it is cool... this is a consideration.

There are some great nylons that have the toes cut out. These are great for the colder days. But, I can never find them. These are an option.

You could also just wear simple pumps in an appropriate color. Either would be fine.

Best wishes,

Great shoes complete an outfit and make you feel sexy, so it is important that when you are dressed up for a special occassion your shoes fit the part. The only time I would say it is ok to wear open-toe shoes in November is if you live in a hot climate area. Other than that, I suggest you go with a sexy pump in a neutral color like taupe. By the way, close-toe pumps with ankle straps will make your legs look fabulous. If you like the look of an open toe better than a closed, go with a peek-a-boo stiletto. Peek-a-boo heels are a great the a vintage feel. As for color besides wearing a neutral color to compliment your cream dress, I suggest a gold shoe with gold accessories to tie your "look" together.

Have fun shopping!
