The mother of the bride has chosen a platinum color dress and bridesmaids are wearing Black. The mother of the groom earlier told me, *(the bride), that black wouldnt be appropriate for the MOB.
Weeks later the MOG tells me that she has chosen a black dress, this is right after she expressed to me that black wouldnt be appropriate for the MOB to wear.
When confronted with this from the groom, she tells him that there were no other choices to make and that she couldnt find anyother dress/color to chose from. And she feels like she couldnt make a good decision since the colors are (platinum, black and lavender) THE MOG says she hates lavender and refuses to wear that color.
The issue is that she tells the MOB that black is not a good choice but then she goes out picks a black dress?
Am I right for being upset and hurt by this and feeling like the MOG did told the MOB not to chose black so she could decietfully go out and take a black dress for herself?

Actually, I would be upset too. The MOB is the person to set the tone for the dresses, not the MOG. She should have tried to blend with her.
Black is not appropriate for either mother due to the bridesmaids wearing black. They shouldn't wear the same exact color.
So, the MOG should get a different dress. Perhaps hers could be a pattern with platinum in it. But, she should not wear black.
