color to choose for mother of the groom

The mother of the bride is wearing periwinkle and the bridesmaids are wearing pink. Is it okay for the mother of the groom to wear a different shade of pink? What other colors would you suggest I wear.

Dear MOG Colors,

Yes, it is fine to wear a different color of pink as long as it doesn't clash. Using this color in a print would look even better.

You could take something with the same color pink as her dress to the store with you to find colors that blend. Popular colors seem to be Champagne and platinum. All would blend fine with both colors.

Take care not to dress more formally that the MOB. It seems that you already know this though.

Best wishes,

Dear MOG,

I think another shade of pink would be very pretty! You might also want to consider a color that would be complimentary to both the pink and the periwinkle like silver/platinum.

Good luck!
