Hi! My daughter's getting married at the end of June. The bridesmaids dresses are rose petal pink and silver and are formal length. The MOG his already bought her dress. It's navy with silver and formal lenght. What would be a good color for me to wear? I wasn't intending on wearing a formal lenght. Do I have to? Thanks for any help that you could give me.

Dear Jolene,
Jeez, you were supposed to buy yours and the MOG was supposed to talk to you about what hers should look like. Your dress should complement the bridesmaids dresses in color, formality, and length. Just choose a dress (yes, long) with complementary colors, perhaps shades of the same colors of the dresses.

Dear MOB,
I agree with Rebecca that your dress should compliment the color and length that the bridesmaids are wearing. You could wear pink, as long as it is a different shade from the bridesmaid dresses. If you don't want to go pink here is a list of colors that look great paired with pink: celadon, purple, tangerine, chocolate (my personal favorite), platinum, and plum.
You should definitely wear a formal length. It keeps with the theme of the other dresses. Have fun dress shopping!
