     mob dress

My daughter is getting married in August. Her bridesmaids are wearing periwinkle. She wanted a formal wedding. I bought a sage green floor length dress. It had beading at the top. I called the mog to let her know what I was wearing. She informed me that she was not going to wear anything that formal. She wanted to wear a Sunday church dress. I ended up taking my dress back, but now I am not sure what to do. My daughter still wants that formal look, but if I am the only mother to look formal will I stand out. Also would a champange color dress look alright with the periwinkle. I am sorry for such a long post, but I am just not sure what to do.

Dear Stressedoutmom,

It is better to do what your daughter wants. She wants formal, so you should dress formal. It is unfortunate that the MOG won't comply, but it is her decision. If she appears too informally dressed, none of you can do anything to prevent it.

I feel that Champagne would be a good choice.

Best wishes,
