mob insists on wearing business suit to formal wedding
My son is getting married in February. The wedding is formal, with the bridesmaids wearing floor length pink gowns and the groomsmen wearing black. I asked my daughter-in-law to be what her mother was wearing. All I could get out of her was a "girly" business suit. To me, this sounds more like getting married on the courthouse steps. I know I'm supposed to dress in accordance with the MOB, but I refuse to look so out of place. I haven't said anything to anyone, as it is not my place. I just think she'll stand out like a sore thumb. (especially in the pictures) What should I wear? Thank you in advance.

Dear Ozziesmama,
You have almost a year to choose something. So, I would wait. Perhaps she will change her mind. But, if not, you could wear a dress or separates that is in the same formality as the MOB. Business suits can appear formal.
