My son's garden wedding is mid-October at 5pm. The mob wants her daughter to pick out her dress when mob arrives from out-of-state two days before the wedding. I live in a small town with limited shopping. The bridesmaids will be in fuscia and black. Would a navy pants outfit be appropriate? The top is a navy shell with a tunic jacket in teal and tan floral design with silver threads and navy trim. It's very dressy. Bride hasn't seen it, but says whatever I'm comfortable with is okay. I don't want to stand out. Please help.

Dear MOG,
The mother of the bride isn't giving you any choice but to choose something to wear now. Your outfit should be very close to the formality of the bridesmaids. So, if your pant suit is close, then it should be fine. I would imagine that it isn't though.
