     mother of groom wearing white

Unsure i know everyone is saying it's not a big deal if the groom's mom wears white but what if we asked her not to? i've always wanted my mom to wear white with me, i have decided that i'm going to let her wear whatever it's not worth fighting over. My question is i am still mad i find it rude to ignore our request but don't want to ruin the day, anyone have any advice?
