February wedding. Bride's wearing champagne. BMs wearing black and caring bright orangy/red bouquets. Tuxes are black w/champagne and black vests. Can I, MOB, wear a rich brown dress? It compliments my figure and skin tone. Afraid it will not compliment the BMs or tuxes. Assuming black, champagne, and bright colors would not be appropriate. Should I keep looking? ph

Dear Pat:
Although this wedding is in the Winter, the colors sound like Fall colors so brown, beige, orange, red, yellow -- all fall colors -- all should blend nicely. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

Thank you. I'm thinking brown may be drab, not complimentary to the black BM and tuxes???

Brown can be very classy and not drab at all. If at all possible, compare the brown of the dress with the champagne and black to see if they compliment each other. It is so difficult to know with out comparing them.
I may be crazy here, but wouldn't a deep purple blend with champagne and black? Champagne can have some purple in it. If this is a good color for you, it may work. But, then again, comparing the colors would help. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
