open toe shoes for winter wedding

Hi. Purchased dress for Christmas wedding. Deep wine color, floor length. Would open-toed shoes be appropriate for a Christmas wedding. Should shoes and bag match dress color? Thanks!

Shoes and bag should coordinate with your dress, but not necessarily "match" the color of the dress. Even more, they could be in contrasting color, say Bronze or Gold-tone. Imagine how deep Bronze would look with Deep Wine color! However, color-wise, shoes and bag should be close to each other, or better yet, matching each other. Close-toed shoes would be more appropriate for Christmas time. Enjoy the wedding!
