same outfit for ceremony & reception?

I am the mother of the groom. Do I have to wear the same outfit to the ceremony that I am wearing to the reception? My dress is a black & silver strapless gown.

Hi Tina:

Why do you want to change? Will you even have time TO change?

Maybe you can use a shawl or bollero at the ceremony and when you get to the reception take it off.

It could save you time on changing dresses.

Hope that helps,
