     stepmom's dress

My stepson's mother has picked a cream color dress for the wedding, the MOB has yet to pick a dress for the wedding(it is not until next June), she told me she will probably wear a blue or a black dress and to let her know if I find a dress and color I want. She is being very generous and I do not want to take away from her big day. Here's my ?, I bought a lovely tea length black dress for a wedding I am attending this week, would it be ok to wear the same dress to my stepsons wedding? It is an evening wedding, also the bridesmaids will be wearing black.

Dear Momstep:

You don't have to dress like the MOB, MOG or the Bridesmaids so don't worry about that. Their attire is dictated because of their roles in the actual wedding. The dress you described is fine to wear to his wedding.
