     strapless dress for MOG

The wedding is at 2:00. MOB is wearing a long skirt with matching top with a portrait neckline and 3/4 sleeves. The top wraps and has covered buttons on the side. Can MOG wear a long strapless dress with a matching shawl that is tacked to resemble a shrug? The wedding is in November. All attendants and the bride are in strapless, long dresses. Thanks.

Dear Lindag,

Strapless gowns are a major no-no for mothers. If you kept the top on all evening, it should be fine though.

Please be sure that your dress is not more formal than the mother of the bride's.

Best wishes,
