3 hours between wedding and reception - should I change clothes?

I have searched through a lot of the questions already out there to help me out but I have a question that I haven't seen yet. The wedding is at 2:00pm and the reception is at 6:00pm. The reception information says formal, and there really isn't any wedding information. Due to the time "lag" (if you will), do I still only wear 1 outfit for the wedding and reception? If so, would a pantsuit in black and white be acceptable? I found a dress but it is red and since that is a no-no, I'm kind of stuck at this point and don't want to be "under" dressed. Thank you for any information.

The wedding is in a church (I'm not remembering the denomination at this time). The reception is at a golf club (very nice place).

The attire will probably be upper level cocktail attire. So, if your pant suit appears to be in the same formality as the little black dress really dressed up, then you are fine. You can always add nice accessories and a nice hair style.
