     Afternoon formal Catholic wedding attire

I will be attending a late August Catholic wedding. The reception follows at a very nice reception hall. I attended a engagement party for the couple that was very, very nice.

Will the attached dress be appropriate? It is blue and chiffon, knee length with "ruching" in the middle. It's halter, a little low cut (but nothing hangs out inappropriately), and low in the back.

Do I need to wear a jacket to the Catholic church? I am 26 years old? Thanks!

Dear Wedding Guests,

Because Catholic weddings tend to be more formal, this dress will be fine. But, you will need to cover up for the wedding. We always cover up in church.

Best wishes,
