Appropriate guest attire for Mormon ceremony

What is appropriate guest attire for a 2:00 Saturday, LDS wedding reception (not ceremony)56? I would prefer to wear dress pants (black or striped) or do I have to wear a skirt or dress? Are black or cream inappropriate colors to wear? Please help, thank you!

Dear Mormon Reception,

If you dress as if you are going to a very nice restaurant, you should be fine. Any color besides red is fine.

Best wishes,
