Attire For A Resort Evening Wedding

My husband and I have been invited to a wedding Memorial Day weekend in Hilton Head. It starts at 5:30 and will take place on golf course (near the beach) with a reception following in a ballroom. Is evening wedding attire appropriate or more "resort" attire for the both of us? And if the latter, what would that be? Help! Thanks!!!

Dear Proper Attire,

It is difficult to say. It may be best to contact a family member or bride. You may also be able to get the information from the country club.

My first instinct was to wear evening attire. But, you just never know.
