I am 24, female and attending a co-workers wedding in about a weeks time, at 15:00. I do not feel comfortable in floral and "floaty" items of clothing. I would like to wear a pair of black slacks, a black & white asian inspired blouse, black pointy heels and a colored (possibly green) necklace. Is this appropriate? A dress code is not specified on the invitation.

Dear Trinity,
If not specified and due to the time of the ceremony, your choice will be perfectly appropriate. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com

I completely agree. If this is what you would wear to a very nice restaurant, you're fine. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
