My cousin is having a Saturday afternoon wedding during November in California. She is laid back and I know she wouldn't care what I wear but my relatives will be there, including my conservative Chinese grandmother. I'm 21, live for fashion, and want to do something fun but don't want to show up in something inappropriate. What would you suggest to be a good compromise for both my grandmother and my taste?

Ok fashionista lets talk...
My suggestion is to wear a nice cocktail dress that you like. There are so many cute and trendy dresses now a days that you will love, and at the same time they are tasteful for your Grandmother. Obviously you don't want to be too revealing, for her sake, so use your judgement.
Now here is where your creative side comes in...the accessories. You know that accessories complete a look. This way you can be fashionable with your accessories and make your Grandmother happy with the dress. I don't have to tell you what is in style when it comes to accessories, but my only suggestion is to have fun with it!
