I have a wedding to attend Oct. 1 at 2 p.m. What color of dress would be appropriate since it will be technically fall, but still 90 degrees (it's in the South)? I was considering light pink or black.

Dear Guest,
It really doesn't matter these days. Color is now based more on the weather rather than the date. So the pink would work much better than the black.

Dress for the season and for the weather! Just because you are going to a Fall wedding doesn't mean that you have to be decked out in Fall colors. However that doesn't mean that it is appropriate to wear any color. What I mean by this is...light and pale colors would be more appropriate to wear to a Spring/Summer wedding verses a Fall/Winter wedding. So, I wouldn't suggest the light pink dress just because it is more of a spring/summer color, but you can still wear pink as long as it is more of a medium pink or mauve. Black is always a safe and classic choice to wear to a wedding.
