Cream Colored suit OK to wear to a wedding

My wife's son is getting married in two weeks at a 4 PM church wedding in Arizona. Bride and groom are mid 30's. May I properly wear a cream colored double breasted silk suit? Thank you.

Dear Stepfather,

If you are being considered one of the fathers, you would dress as they. If not, this suit should be fine.
