I am attending a wedding on Novebmer 11th (a Friday) and the ceremony begins at 4:30 at a Beach Club (pretty nice one) with reception following. What should I wear? I was thinking a knee length dress - but am unsure as to what color and material would be appropriate. Can I do satin/silk or do I need to stick to a "sturdier" material? Also, should I stay away from black? I don't have the greatest arms - can I use a wrap/shawl? Thanks.

Dear November Wedding Guest,
I really is your choice. The dress code will probably be cocktail attire, which is the little black dress or its equivalent. So, a knee length dress would be fine or a nice pant suit--so you could cover your arms.
The material is your choice. Wear what looks good on you. Just choose a material that looks high quality. And, black is no longer a faux pas for weddings. It is a good color.
Wear some sort of cover up or jacket because it will probably be cold.
