Guests want to wear bright colored dresses

My family and I have been invited to a friend's wedding at 7 o'clock. I was wondering if it was appropriate to wear a bright, long, orange dress to the wedding and if it is approriate for my sister to wear a long, bright, pink/red dress to the wedding. Is that going to look like we are trying to steal the brides thunder?

Dear Bright,

I think you know the answer, huh? Red is the only real taboo color for wedding guests these days. But, anything too bright isn't polite either. Both of you would be the center of attention, which isn't what is expected of the guests.

Best wishes,
