I really need some help finding the right color to wear to a wedding in mid-October. I am going to be reading in the wedding mass(Catholic wedding). The bride just recently informed me that I am going to be in the wedding photos. She wants me to match, or at least not clash with, her wedding colors. Her colors for the wedding are navy and silver. What colors can I wear that will compliment her colors? Please help. Thanks.

The bridesmaids will be wearing navy dresses. And the groomsmen will be wearing black tuxes with silver vests.

Dear ValPal:
I think you have the answer already. She said you could either match or compliment her colors, which is great. So start searching for something that is navy, silver or both. Once you start looking, the search gets easier and before you know it, you'll have several styles to choose from. Rhonda Allen, Bridal Consultant New Beginnings Weddings

My suggestion is to compliment the bridal party, not match them. You don't want to look like you are trying to be a bridesmaid, so I wouldn't wear navy. However, since the groomsman are only wearing silver in their vests, it is safe to wear silver. Besides silver, other colors that look good with navy are...plum, chocolate brown, wine, champagne or gold.
