Long dress ok for "cocktail attire"?

Hi,

I'll be going to a Long Island wedding this summer. The reception is in the evening and the dress is cocktail attire. Do you think this is too dressy? It's chocolate brown, made of silk jersey, and I feel like the trim dresses it down a little bit. I'll be wearing another dress to the wedding, which is earlier in the day. Anyway, I would appreciate your input. :) Thanks!

Dear OK for Cocktail Attire,

I want this dress!! This is beautiful.

It would pass well for cocktail attire.

Best wishes,

Thanks so much for your responses! I'm happy to hear that this dress could work...I'm in love with it, but would hate to feel overdressed and out of place. Thanks again!
